AN IMPROVED TONE. £Phe yarding at the Levin sale ion Tuesday was a better class of stock, both in; cattle and sheep, than, has been catalogued for a long fimev, and met with a good reception at the hands of'ljuyers. Cattle.—Good forward four-year bullocks £5 TSs to £6, good dairy heifers £5 7s 6d to £8 15s, springing heifers £6 10s to £7 10s, daily cows £lO to £l3 ss, vealers £l, cows with calves £2 15s. Pigs.—Weaners 10s to 15s, stores 16s Id, £1 to £2 2s, porkers £2 15s to £3 4s.
