AN IMPROVED TONE. £Phe yarding at the Levin sale ion Tuesday was a better class of stock, both in; cattle and sheep, than, has been catalogued for a long fimev, and met with a good reception at the hands of'ljuyers. As a result there was an. improved tone throughout the sale, which was one of the best that has taken place during the last 10 or 12 months. Sheep.—Shorn fat wethers 13s, fat ewes 10s 4d to 12s 4d, two-tooth shorn wethers 8s 3d to 10s 3d, two-tooth shorn ewes 10s, woolly wether hoggets 11s lid, four-tooth shorn wetherslls 43. Cattle.—Good forward four-year bullocks £5 TSs to £6, good dairy heifers £5 7s 6d to £8 15s, springing heifers £6 10s to £7 10s, daily cows £lO to £l3 ss, vealers £l, cows with calves £2 15s. Pigs.—Weaners 10s to 15s, stores 16s Id, £1 to £2 2s, porkers £2 15s to £3 4s.
