THE QUEEN COMPETITION.

There is keen competition amoiig the supporters of the Queen candidates in connection with the coming Catholic Bazaar. Each Queen is a representative of a stall. The positions as they'stand at present are:— Votes. Miss Upton, Farmers’ Stall' 2.150 Miss Winnie Fitzgerald, Children’s Stall v ......... 1,840 Miss Gagliardi, Mangahao Stall 1,700 Miss Curran, Fibre Stall 1,640 Each shilling ticket entitles the holder to four votes. In the last night of the Bazaar the successful competitor will be the recipient of a presentation. Six teams have already entered for the tug-of-war, and several more are being arranged. Entries for thip event close with the hon. secretary, Mr H. McGloyn, on November 14.
