FESTAL FAIR.

As the date (Thursday next, October 20) of the Festal Fair approaches, interest also appears to increase in the event. Apart from the 5 well-laden” stalls offering all kinds of goods for the varied tastes of. purchasers, the Festal. Fair will be a source of attraction. An excellent concert programme is being arranged by the Foxton Glee Party. There .will also be numerous competitions, and some" most novel side shows, including something new to Shannon in a Mystery Parlour. An attractive tea and supper room is 'be-, ing arranged, where, apart front a refreshing cup of tea, tasty home-made cakes, fruit salad and cream fresh from the dairy may be obtained. An ice-cream parlour is also a special feature. A bun rush for boys, bedmaking for men, and numerous other events will all go to make the Festal Pair a place of great amusement.
