The usual toasts Were honoured, the chief one- being “The shannon Football Club.” Mr Moymhan, in replying to it, congratulated the local teams on, their play, and the keen interest shown in the game during the past season. They had been successful in that the Rugby Union had seen lit to have a Rep. match played in ‘Shannon, and the gate money for it had been .beyond expectations. This had been the first match of its kind played here, but it was safe to say that it would not be the last. He complimented the teams on their clean play; the one thing lacking in their team was practice, which he hoped would be overcome next season. Mr Frank Wilson was presented with a handsome gold medal for being the most improved player during the season, and Mr Jack Holden was also presented witfi a medal for the best back. Musical Hems were given by the following, and were keenly appreciated: Messrs. Hugh'McDonald, T. McDonald, W. Gardener and J. Finlayso». ;
