THIRD TEST MATCH.
HUGE ATTENDANCE EXPECTED. * SPECIAL TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS At Wellington on Saturday the Springboks and All Blacks will meei m the rinal of the test matches in what promises to be the greatest loothail contest seen In the Dominion. In the two previous tests each side has scored a victory, the Ail Blacks by 13 to 5 in the first and the Africans by 9 to 5 in the second, so that it can be easily understood that Saturday’s game is creating the keenest interest not only in New Zealand but throughout the football countries o'f the world. So far as the New Zealand team is concerned, special arrangements are in hand for securing net only the flower of our players but that they will take the field in the pink of condition and endowed with combination superior to that shown by the two previous test teams. The selection has not yet been definitely announced, but from the forecasts made it is contended by competent judges that the fifteen who will don the famous Black Jersey on Saturday will be worthy of a great football country ike New Zealand and fit to uphold the high reputation she has gained on international fields by All Blacks of previous years. As regards the Springboks, they have so far proved worthy foemen. Against our provincial teams the visitors have had a wonderful run of success, and that they will make a bold bid for victory in the/final test goes without saying. At the present moment South Africa and New Zealand stand right in the forefront of the Rugby countries of the world, and Saturday’s result will be awaited with interest overseas as well as throughout the length and breadth of the two countries directly concerned. The game should prove equal to expectations and. the importance attached to it, and be a contest that will be i*e'membered tor years to come.
In order to suit the convenience ol country enthusiasts, excursion tickets to Wellington will be issued on the Manawatu line, commencing to-mor-row and available for return till Tuesday. On Saturday a special train will leave Palmerston North at 5.30, Shannon 6.20, Levin 6.45, and arriving Wellington at 9.47. The usual train leaving Palmerston at 7.10, Shannon 8.8, and Levin 8.42 lill also run. For the return journey, a-.train will leave Wellington at 5.52 on Saturday evening, reaching Levin at 9.21 and Shannon at 9.50 p.m.
