A FANTASIA TO RAISE FUNDS.

At the meeting of the. Borough Council on Friday evening, Cr. Hyde stated that Mrs Parkhouse had agreed to promote a grand fantasia to raise funds for beautifying work in Plirhmer Terrace. Mrs Parkhouse was experienced in getting up these functions, and the prospects of success were good. A large number of children .besides adults, would take part, and the even't would last for two nights. Cr. Hyde thought that the Council, should assist in every way it could, with which the Mayor and Councillors agreed. Cr. Hyde stated that he had obtained an estimate for the fencing of Plimmer Terrace, where it was in tended to carry out the beautifying work, the price for the fencing being £35. Further consideration of the matter was left in the hands of the Reserves Committee.
