THE LEVIN MARKET.

HEIFERS AND WEANER PIGS IN DEMAND. The weekly sale yesterday indicated a sharp upward movement in wearier oigs and eighteen months’ heifers, the latter no doubt- on account of the good prospects of the daily industry tor the next twelve months at least. The sheep entry was the largest that has, been penned for some months;-with fat wethers predominating. The supply of this class more than, met requirements, and as compared with the best prices last week, there was a decline of 2s. The great bulk of the yarding,- however, was placed. The fat 1 affib market was about equal to the previous sale. For good ewes in lamb the best line -made 20s. Empty store ewes brought poor prices. The battle entry was fair, the best butcher’s bullock beef realising £9 and heifers to £6. Twelve and eighteen months’ heifers made a strong advance, but the class of dairy cows ter- * ward was not of a high class, and not much business was done.
