He should develop into a top-notcher. . , Sweet Tipperary was in the leading division in the Talavera Hurdles until five furlongs from hofiie, when she faded out. The two races she had, however, should do her a power, of good. The steadier of 12.11 did not stop Coalition in the Wellington Steeplechase, the son of Patronus getting horpe easily at the finish. He also won the steeplechasers’ flat handicap at this meeting. The Auckland pair, Archie and Sylvan, were turned out in good fettle at the recent Wellington meeting, but were unable to act in the heavy going. J spurted up the straight at the Trentham meeting for educational purposes. The Foxton-trained First Line will be very hard to beat in the Grand National Steeples if sent to the post. Those who saw the imported horse Tractor at the Wellington meeting were greatly impressed with the size and quality of the colt. The newcomer was not raced, being sent to the course for educational purposes.
