TENNIS CLUB BALL.

A BRILLIANT FUNCTION. As was anticipated, the Tennis Club’s ball proved to be one of the events of the season. The hall, with its beautiful decorations and the many pretty dresses of the ladies, presented a sight which has seldom been excelled in Shannon. Mrs Butler’s orchestra .was at its best, and the, splendid music, combined with a glass-like floor, made dancing a pleasure. The committee spared no effort to make the evening an enjoyable one, and the ball will be a pleasant memory to many for some time to come. Miss I. Pink, Mrs T. Davey, Miss McGrath and Miss McDenell played extras which were greatly appreciated. Amongst those present- were the following ladies: Mrs Bovis; green and gold; Mrs Murphy, black; Mrs Morgan, flame-coloured satin; Mrs Johnson, cream; Mrs Whibley, pink; Mrs Terry, maize colour; Mrs Keenan, blue; Mrs Davey, pink; Mrs Law, blue; Mrs Merwood, black; Mrs Aim, brown; Miss Butler, black and scarlet; Miss Wilhin, heliotrope; Mrs Law, green; Miss Knowles, green, Miss Roach, cream; Miss F. Butler, green; MTks Terry, blue; Miss Curran, pink; Miss Cole, blue; Miss Jones, black; Mrs G. Jones, black; Miss Merwood, yellow; Miss McDenell, cream; Miss Cameron, pink; Mrs Stratford, -blue; Miss Willians, blue; Miss McGrath, blue; Miss Pink, cream; .Miss Walker, green; Miss Grey, pink; Miss Anderson, black; Miss Procter, cream; Miss Frechtling, cream; Mrs Cole, black; Mrs Spencer, black; Miss Buckman, pink; Miss Jean Murray, grey; and many others.
