MINISTER OF PUBLIC WORKS
VISITS SHANNON TO-DAY. The Mayor (Mr Murdoch) has received a communication from the Minister of Public Works (Hon. .1. G. Coates) that he will visit Shannon today, and proceed to the Mangahao and inspect the hydro-electric works. The Minister will stay on Friday night and return to Wellington on Saturday. During the time he is in Shannon, he will discuss with the Mayor some matters of local interest.
