REFEREES MEET.
The usual ineeling ol the HoruWhSnua Referees’ Association was held on Saturday evening. Among the correspondence was' a ietier lrom one of the senior cluhs asking for change of referee l'or the.ir match. It was decided that in’ futur.B ali appointments should be adhered! to. , The secretary was instructed ,to - write to the Rugby Union drawing at- i tention to the practice of ches for '> the lower grade teams qur jstioning : the rulings of the referees. r This step was' taken because of a c omplaint against a coach at Foxton. The delegate to the N.Z. Referees' - Conference reported on the work done there, and was accorded a vote of appreciation. -Mr J. O’Connor considered that! the Association was too modest and that more of the Association’s \v:ork slid mid be made public. It was decided to suggest to The Rugby Union tha,t all matches except fourth grade should b& scheduled tto commence at 2.45 p.m. v and when possible, fourth grade 'to he taken sit 2 p.m. The fixtures havi .fig been drawn up,-, it was decided tp meet on Tuesday, to consider rufes, for the Association.!
