Wool Sales.
(By Tbibobaph.) CHRISTCHURCH, Fbb. 24. The last of this season’s local sales of wool was completed early tbisjlafternoon. 2800 bales were offered, and the bulk was disposed of at satisfactory prices. The wool was chiefly ordinary merino station clips, and some coarse lots of crossbred and halfbred, many of these being Chatham Islands produce. Prices for ordinary merinos ranged from 6d to 7d, and in the case of one bright clip from Mr H. Brettargh’s Worlingham flock, up to 7|d was obtained. Farmers’ heavy short merinos brought 4Jd to 6|d, and looks up to 3d. What little halfbred wool was offered brought from 6sd to B|d, the latter price being given for clean bright wool. Chatham Islands half* bred wool, brought 6|d to 7d. pieces 2id to 4fcd, looks If to 2d. Scoured first pieces brought up to Is Ifd, second pieces to Is osd, thirds to 9sd, scoured looks up to lOd. Altogether the sale compared favourably with tbe preceding one.
