CHRISTCHURCH COEN EXCHANGE. The following is the Christchurch Corn Exchange report for the week ended Friday. February 24th, 1893; Nearly all the crops are now secured. The quality is fairly good, andwe trust soon to see New Zealand, wheat quoted nearer Californian No. 1. Barley has sold well and the prices are good. We repeat our previous statement that first-class malting will touch 4s, but that quality is not plentiful. Oats—A brisk demand, and the steamers’ manifests show that they are moving on. Ryegrass—The demand has kept up longer than we anticipated, and is still wanted. Cocksfoot is very slow in coming forward. Peas—Wanted. Dairy produce—Has dropped haok. fflWheat—Hunter’s 2a 6d, pearl 2s 7d, Tuscan 2a Bd. Barley—First class 4s, second rate 3a to 3s 7d. Oats—Milling 2a, etont feed Is KM. Peas—Blue 3s Id. Beans—Wanted. Potatoes —Kidneys 50a at stations. Butter—Best fresh factory lOd, farm era’ 7d to Bd. Cheese—3|d to 4d. Flour—Roller .£9. Bran—sos. Sharps—6os. Ryegrass—Farmers’ 2s to 2s fid, machined 3a 3d to 3s fid. The above prices are those paid to farmers, f.0.b., packages extra, potatoes and millera’ goods oxcspted.
