TIM&RU O.C. V. TEMUKA O.C. The match between the X'imaru and Tomuka i Cricket Clubs resulted in a rather easy win for the local club by 5 wickets and 66 runs. The Tomuka team succeeded in putting ‘ together only 71 runs, the first few batsmen being the only ones to make any stand , against the bowling of Smith and Postlefchwaite. The former secured 5 and the 1 latter 3 wickets. Cayley, Low, and Cox i reached doable figures by careful play. On . going in to bat, I imam at once began to . ecore, Poetlethwaite making things very lively 1 for the field whilst Jefferson played patiently, i ASaoparation was not effected until 54 had 5 been scored, when Postlothwaite was bowled . by Diguan. Jefferson continued to bat in quite the beet form displayed by him this season, but was eventually given Ibw to Low. Pritt and Hargreaves both reached double figures, and Perry and Fraser were at the wickets when time was called.
