Fat'sheep are a shade easier except in the ease of prime crossbred and half bred wethers, , for which a good demand prevailed; up to 17s . Young store . * crossbred Owes sold well, 13s 6d to 14s 9d “ being freely given for all offered and more wanted. • Aged crossbred and merino ewes • were very unsaleable ; 3s 9d to 4s 8d for merinos, 7s to 9s for crossbreds being the range of values. CATTLE. Beef was dull and there was a small entry. Best brought 20s per lOOlbs, inferior 16s to 17s. Very few store cattle were yarded and the demand was very slack. There was only : a few young stock. Yearlings brought 20s to 30s, dry cows were very little asked for but dairy cows and springers were in great request. Best .£8 to .£ll, medium £5 to £7 10s. PIGS. Pigs were very active. Porkers farm fed 4id per lb, light baconers 4d to 4£d, heavy 3£d per lb. ;
