(By Telegraph.) Wellington Items. WELLINGTON, Fan. 23. The Department of Agriculture has is»ued a second aeries of illustrated leaflets, dealing with the Bathurst burr. The Cabinet have decided to grant a small sum for tho purpose of fitting up a Now Zea land Court iu tho Imperial Institute, but not to commit the colony to any annual expend!* tore. Representations have been made to the Minister of Mines that a number of men are working in Otago without miners rights, and recommending that tho police should be instructed to bunt them up. The Minister refused to do so. A deputation i» obout to wait on the Minister of Justice to urge that steps be taken to put down Sunday trading by Chinese and publicans, A private letter received here states that Sir J. Vogel hos made a brilliant start as an insurance manager in London, and is doing a large business. The Board of Health met Ibis morning and after considering tho report from Lyttelton as to the outbreak of typhoid on the ship Hinemoa, directed a telegram to be sent to the Mayor of Lyttelton to tbe effect that the Board considers the local board has power to deal with the case, tho ship not having arrived from foreign ports, but only from another part of tbe colony, and suggests that the Mayor should confer with (he Health Officer
