; I ♦- THE TIMARU WOOL SALES. THIRD SALE. The third sale of the season was held yesterday in the Assembly rooms. Only three catalogues were submitted aggregating 1380 bales as follows , Halos. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company 1000 Guinness and LeCren ... ... 216 Canterbury Farmers’ Co-operative Association 164 Total 1386 There was a good attendance of buyers, and biddings were very spirited. Prices ruled from id to Id higher than at the previous sale. Fully seven-eighths of the catalogues were merino wools, principally Mackenzie ; Country station lines. Very few lots were parsed in, and all these were afterwards sold privately. Halfbred sold up to Bsd, crossbred to 7*d, merino locks to 3|d, pieces to sid, clothing to sfd, combing to 6 J ,d.
The Canterbury Farmers’ Co-operative Association, Limited (Mr J. Mundell, auctioneer) report as, follows • —Our third sale was held at the Assembly rooms to-day with a full attendance of buyers, and prices quite equal to the opening sales.
