[By Tcleguaph.) New Plymouth Harbour. NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb. 21. At the annual meeting of the Harbor Board this morning Mr T. King was reelected chairman, iu the course of some remark* be intimated that it was likely that pu&lic subscriptions would be raised to carry out protective works at the breakwater ; also that the plant not required should be sold to raise funds to improve the harbour. The Drowning Case. The body of the lad Wood, who on Sunday morning was washed out to eea whilst bathing, from the beach at Omata, baa not been discovered. Particulars now to hand state that ho was a good swimmer, but got where there was a arong current, which carried him eut to sea in eight of hia horrified companions who were unable to render him any assistance.
