Presbyterian Assembly.
(By Turaun.) WELLINGTON, Fra. 17. At the Presbyterian General Assembly today, it was resolved, without discussion, to leave the Auckland Alexander oase in the hands of the church property board, aim* plicater. In the matter of the memorial from the Christohareh Presbytery, it wx agreed to direct the attention of ministers and others to clause 88 of the Church Property Act, which empowers the treasurer of the board to grant a legal rseeipt for all trust moneys. In the application anent Ur Osborne, the Assembly, resolved to grant power to the Hawke's Bay Presbytery to license Mr Osborne in January, 1894, after examination by the examination board. On the recommendation o! the Hawke's Bay Presbytery, power was given to Ur Osborne to baptise. The question of giving students the power to baptise was also raised but the assembly resolved to abide by ite present matter. The endorsed the favour ternforeign work also of
