THE following alterations in the ordinary time-table wid be made for Ist January, 1883 : In lieu of (he 7.30 a.m. Timaru to Ashburton, and the 10.55 a m. from Ashburton to v bristchurcb, a tiaia Stopping at other stations to pick up or ret down passengers if required. 'I he evening trains from Timaru will leave as follows :—Timaru to Altury and back at 5.0 p.m., to • 'amaru at 5.20 p.m , to Ashburton at 5,30 p.m., running respectively 85, 55, and 55 minutes later than usual. The evening trains from Oamaru to Timaru, and Waimate to Studholmo Junction and back, will run 55 minutes later than usual. Goods traffic will be suspended. _ On the 2nd January the evening train from Oamaru to Timaru, will run 55 minutes later than usual, and a train will run on the Waimate Branch, to take up passengers out of ihe train from OamarJ.
