(Pkb Press Association.) Inspector of MinesWellington, Dec. 7. The Hon. Mr Eolleston and the Under Secretary for Mines visited the Terawbiti goldfield yesterday and inspected several of the claims. Mr Ro'leston expressed himself highly pleased at the appearance of the m.ines and the samples of stone which were taken out. f New AsphalteOamauu, Dec, 7. The asphaltic cnnciete patented for use on tramways and nilways,by Harper and Dennison, was tested to-day, and withstood a much greater tensile strain and crushing weight than the best samples of cement concrete. It is probable the new patent will be used in several towns in the colony shortly.
