THIS DAY. ( Received, Dec. 7,1882, noon.] Commerciai. London, Dec. 6. Consols are quoted at 99£, ex div. The market rate of discount has been reduced by | to 3£ per cent. Hew Zealand securities remain at the following quotations 5 per cent 10-40 loan, 105£ ; 5 per cent 1889 loan, 104 (ex div.) ; 4£ per cent 1879-1904 loan, 102*. Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, is quoted at 49*, a decline of 6di New Zealand wheat, ex warehouse, remain at 48s 6d to 46s 6d, and Adelaide flour at 345. Australian tallow is unchanged at 42s for best beef and 44s 6d for best mutton. Wool Sales Firmer. At the wool auction to day a firm and active demand was experienced. The catalogue consisted of 11,000 bales.
