In arriving at the merits of this machine as compared with the one exhibited by the Singer Company , the jury have had considerable difficulty in arriving at their decision, and it will be satisfactory to the public to know that the awards have been given in the above order after long discussion by a majority of two to one.” OTHER EXHIBITS EXAMINED. The Committee have also examined the following Machines :—The Household, the Bradbury, the Howe, and the Wheeler and Wilson, but beyond possessing some ' novelties in construction, they have no special points to entitle them to leading places in this report;— W.
