(Pna Peess Association.) Captain Baldwin Announced. Ddnedin, Nov. 25. Captain Baldwin is mentioned as a candidate for the Peninsula, ■ New Shipping Company. . The "Times’' says a company has been formed to amalgamate Shaw Saville and the Albion Company, and take over the present vessels paying £485,000, or £l4 per registered tonnage, Mr Green Well Received* Mr Green addressed a large meeting last night. He received an enthusiastic vote of confidepce. He said he had been in favor of the Property Tax, but he had found that the merchants cast the burden on consumers, and therefore, in his opinion, a Land and Income Tax would be the question of the future. He would follow Sir J. Hall, as leader of the proposed Middle Party.
