Consuls have advanced to 102£ The bank rate remains at 5 and the market rate of discount at 4 per cent. , The bank reserve is ten million and a half, being £700,000 more than lasl week. New Zealand securities remain at the following quotations 5 per cent 10-40 loan, 105£; 5 per cent 1889 loan, 104, ex div, ; 4| per cent 1879-1904 loan, ■ ■lo3*. Colonial breadstuffs are unchanged at 49s 6d for Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, 44s to 47s for Slew Zealand wheat ex warehouse, and 34s for Adelaide flour, ex warehouse. Australian tallow—Best beef, 42s ; best mutton, 43s 6d, There is a good demand for Australian hides at full prices. Wool Market Dull. At the wool sales to-day 7700 bales were catalogued. The market continues dull, and 2500 bales have been withdrawn from sale since the opening of the series.
