THIS DAY, [Receiver] Nov, 10, 1882, noon.] The Wool MarketMelbourne, This Day. The weekly report of the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Company shows that during the week the wool catalogues have been fair, comprising 1700 bales, principally small lots, though there have been one or two large clips. There had been a large attendance of buyers with brisk competition, and 1500 bales have been sold, Sound merinos and fine cross - breeds have been very firm, but the lower grades were slightly irregular. 114 bales of well grown combing merino wool from Western Australia realised 12jd per lb, 15 bales from the Murray fetched 13d, while 12fd was given for 12 bales of fine crossbreds from the Western district. For 42 bales of scoured superior combing 12£d was obtained.
