STEAMER DISABLED.
[By Telerbaph.j Biekheim, Nov.' 6. The steamer Mobaka, which left Willlington on Friday, got disabled at 11 o’clock the same night, when about 16 miles off Wairau, A strong southeaster came on, and she lay to four or five hours, then ran into Tory Channel about one o’clock on Saturday afternoon. She dropped anchor off Jackson’s Bay, touching the ground slightly, but got off uninjured in about an hour. The master, mate, and Mr Duncan (passenger), left for Picton in a boat, and reached Waikawa (some three miles distant) about nine o’clock, after a wet and windy pull of over five hours. The three reached Picton at half past ten at night. The master and mate teturned to the steamer at 4 n.m. on Sunday, with the necessary articles to repair damages.
