Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under i—- . Saturday, Nov. 4. For Northern Ports of New Zealand,, per Taiaroa, at 2.50 p.m. The Omaha will leave Auckland for Chatham Islands on the 4th November For the United Kingdom, via San Pran- ‘ cisco, the Continent of Europe, America, Africa, the Sandwich Islands, and Mediterranean Ports, as follows :— 1 Money orders, registered letters and newspapers at 1.30 p.m. Ordinary letters at 2 30 p.m. Late fee letters at the Chief Post-office till 2.50 p.m., and at the Railway Travelling Post-office Mail Van (Northern Express Train; till 3.17 p.m. (Signed) En.
