THE NATIVE MEETING.

[By Telegraph.] Alexandra, Nov. 1. Major Te Wheoro, M.H.E., thinks the difficulty of providing for the Waikatos could be met by Government giving the tribe the remainder of the unsold land in the block promised to the Kingiles by the late Sir Donald McLean, provided as much remains unsold as he believes to exist. According to his statement, the Hon, Mr Bryce has not yet made any definite offer to provide for the Waikatos. The meeting takes place to-morrow afternoon.
