EXPECTED ABBIVALB. Magellan Cloud, brigantine, from Tairua, early. Eliza Mary, brigantine, from Auckland early. The steamer Charles Edward collided slightly with the protection works at Hokitika yesterday. Her port paddle-box was slightly injured, enough to make her leak a little. Home of the goods in the forehold are damaged. The present magnificent weather is very favorable to shipping operations. The Ganymede has almost finished discharging having had two donkey engines constantly at work. The Titnn is being made presentable, and small craft are busily discharging. The wharf extension work is progressing rapidly. The new surf boat has haen taken down to the wharf to be launched by the crane.
