There is a fair demand for Australian hides at full prices. There are no quotable changes in New Zealand securities, colonial breadstuffs or tallow. Lathe. Consols are unchanged at 99|, and Hew Zealand securities at last quotations. Colonial wheat has fallen fid, and Adelaide, ex store, is quoted at 495, and New Zealand ditto 48s. Adelaide flour has declined la to 355, ex warehouse. Australian tallow is unchanged. Galvanised iron remains at £l7 10s for 26 guage. Best Sydney Copra has advanced 10s, and is now worth £l7 10s. In the House oi Commons last night, an excited debate took place regarding the sentence passed on Mr Gray, M.P. for Carlow, for publishing in the “Freeman’s Journal ” an article reflecting on the judges and jurymen engaged in the trial of an agrarian murderer. The discussion lasted some boars, and was of‘a stormy character, but finally lapsed without anv result.
