The City of Sydney, with the July colonial mails, arrived at San Francisco from Auckland on the Bth inst., two days early. Farewell LuncheonChristchurch, August 12. A farewell luncheon which was well attended, was given to*day to Mr J. B. Hill, late President of the Agricultural and Pastoral Association, on his leaving lor the Old Country. Shipping. Dunedin, August 11. Sailed—Waimea, for London, with seven passengers and a full cargo. The MarsalaThe Marsala left Adelaide yesterday lor Melbourne, and proceeds thence to Sydney, arriving at Port Chalmers on the first proximo.
