crops are now more favorable, as finer weather prevails. Reports to hand from America state that the crop in that country is expected to be considerably above the average. Frozen Meat* August 2. A portion of the cargo, which consists of 4400 carcases of mutton and a quantity of beef, ex the s.s. Lusitania, was sold by auction to-day. The mutton realised an average of 6£d per lb.
