Sawyers Bay railway station near Port Chalmers had its name changed some years ago to Glendermid, The inhabitants, all except the one after whom it was named, resented this, but the feeling died out. Last night, however, this name was smeered out with coal tar, showing that the old feeling is not yet dead.
