SHIPWRECK AND LOSS OP SIX LIVES[By Telegraph. J Wellington, Juno 28. A telegram has been received from Wairoa, Hawke’s Bay, stating that the barquentine Agnes Jessie, had gone ashore at Tehoe. Captain A. Hawkes, and |ive lives are lost. LATER. The Agnes Jessie is a total wreck; she was 187 tons register, and was built in 1860. She was owned at Hobart by Mr H. Chesterton, and was bound from Lyttelton to Auckland with grain. The vessel was insured in the New Zealand Office. The Marine Department have received the following, telegram re the wreck of the Agnes Jessie :-c~Fivo of the crew are drowned, namely; E. Carter, boatswain ; J. Brown, cook ; W. Beckfield, P. Copping, and H. Moore. Those saved are : A. Hawkes, master ; McArthur, mate ; J. Johnstone, A.B. ; J, Harding, J. Humphries, O.S.
