TIMARU STEAM COLLIER COMPANY.
A preliminary meeting of shareholders took place yesterday in the Town |Hall, Mr J. S. Gibson in the chair. It was stated that the capital of the Company was £IO,OOO in 200 shares of £SO each, all of which were now taken up. Mr Ross was authorised to do all the legal work of the Company, and it was resolved ;—“ That the name of the Company be the Timaru Steam Colliery Company (Limited)”; “That the registered office of the Company be in Timaru ”; “ That the following be appointed a Provisional Directory— Messrs John Jackson, William Evans, Martin Kennedy. J. S- Gibson, Charles Bowker, and Nathaniel Taplin ” ; “That the Bank of the Company bo the Bank of New Zealand, Timaru.
