MOUNT PEEL ROAD BOARD.
The monthly meeting ,of this Board was held in the Road Board office on Friday, the 16th inst. Present—-The* Hon. J. B. A. Acland (chairman),Messrs B. Mackay, C. G. Tripp, and J. Heney. ■ GENERAL. ■■ Sundry correspondence was rend and dealt witfc. PLANTING. : : Mr M. Fitzgerald wrote, making an offer for planting the reserve near Pairlie Creek. The offer was declined, and it was resolved to call tenders for planting/ Proposed by Mr Tripp, seconded by Mr Mackay and carried—“ That as far as practicable under the existing contracts, no trees but those of the gum and wattle tribe be planted at pressont.” • ‘ ; NEW 4 WORKS. Resolved—“ That tenders be called for cross-ploughing thirty acres of the reserve at Pairlie Creek; also for shingling part of the Boundary road.” Accounts to the amount of £383 Is fid were passed for payment, and the Board rose. - ' ■;<'
