PARLIAMENTARY.

[Br Telegraph.j HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. Wellington, June 16. DISQUALIFICATION OF CHINAMEN. Mr Turnbull, on behalf of Mr Daniel, moved for leave to introduce a Bill to disqualify Chinamen from holding miners’ rights and business licenses on gold fields. Mr Bracken denounced the measure as tyrannical and uncalled for, and thought the House would consult its own dignity hy refusing leave to introduce such a measure. Mr Shepherd moved the adjournment of the debate for a fortnight to enable them to ascertain the nature of the Bill. The motion for adjournment was carried. The remainder of the day’s sitting was occupied in discussion of the Financial Statement.
