LICENSING COURT.

WASHDYKE. Wednesday, June 7. [Before E. Acton (Chairman), A. Meo. W. Balfour, and R. K. Parkenson, members of Licensing Committee]. The annual Licensing Meeting for the Levels District was held as above. POLICE REPOETS. The police reports on the licensed houses in the district wore all of a favorable nature. RENEWALS. Renewals were granted as follows Doncaster Hotel, Washdyke, from John Me Beth to William Parsons ; Arowhenua Hotel (Opihi), from M. Spillane to Leonard Tombs ; Cave Hotel (Cave), from R. Turnbull (ns trustee in the estate of John Wildermoth) to W. C. Morgan. Mr White appeared for the trustee. RENEWALS. Renewals were granted as follows : H. Gardner, Sportman’s Arras Hotel, Saltwater Creek ; Timothy Geaney, Railway Hotel, Pleasant Point; Josephus Murphy, Pleasant Point Hotel; William Parsons, Doncaster Hotel, Washdyke ; Leonard Tombs, Arowhenua Hotel. An accommodation license was granted to W. C. Morgan, for the Cave Hotel, and the annual license fee was fixed at £5. TWELVE O’CLOCK APPLICATION. W. Parsons, licensee of the Doncaster Hotel, Washdyke, applied for a 12 o’clock license. The Committee refused the application, stating that they did not consider 12 o’clock licenses necessary in country' districts.
