Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) ns under : - Thursday, May 18, For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Rotorua, at 6 a m., For Capetown, &c., per C, F. Funch (specially addressed correspondence only) on the 18th inst. Saturday, May 20. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Penguin, at 250 p.m. . ' , V For the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, the Continent of Europe, AmericaAfrica, the Sandwich Islands, and Mediterranean Ports, as follows : Money orders, registered letters and newspapers at 1.30 p.m. Ordinary letters at 2 80 p.m. Late fee letters at the Chief Post-office till 2.50 p.m., and at the Railway Travelling Post-office Mail Van (Northern Express Train ) till 320 p.m. (Signed).
