In the House of Commons last night a Bill was introduced by the Govern, me’pt for dealing with the question of payment ; of arrears in Ireland. The measure provides that the Irish Church surplus should be appropriated for the purpose of clearing tenants of their liabilities. The Church Fund will thus be entirely exhausted. Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, remains at 545; New Zealand do, at 51s; Adelaide flour, ex store, at 365, Australian tallow is quoted firm at 43s 6d for best beef, and - 44s for best mutton. At to-day’s wool sale merino wools were in request, arid a good demand was experienced for lots of this description in the catalogue.
