Mrs Webb’s school re-opens on Friday next.

We have been requested to state that the Artillery Band regret very much that they were unable to turn out at the funeral this afternoon. The notice given was so short that, although they did their best, they could not get the members of the Band together. An influential meeting of gentlemen interested in the welfare of Timaru, and opposed to the present constitution of the Harbor Board, was held in the Club Hotel, to-day. It was decided to call a public meeting, at the Theatre Royal, on Friday evening next, and resolutions to be proposed at the meeting were drawn up.
