In the event of the debate being concluded this week Sir Bryan O’Loughlen will deliver his Budget speech next Tuesday, The drought has completely broken up, and welcome rains have fallen throughout the country. The Cuzco, leaving to-day, takes 4,300 carcasses of crossbred sheep. All have been carefully selected. Most of them average 80lbs. The Intercolonial Boat Bace on Saltwater River on Saturday resulted in a surprise. The Sydney crew, which was a light one and not thought particularly of, won a splendid race by about two lengths. The Onsure recently arrived from Mauritius. Nine of her crew were ill, and the vessel was worked by the two mates and three seamen.
