THE ARTILLERY BAND.

Our victorious Band returned last night," and were welcomed by their comrades (in full dress), and a large crowd of civilians. From the station the Artillery, with the Band leading, marched to the drill-shed, where congratulary speeches were made and hearty cheers given, Lieutenant Wardle .congratulating the band on their success, and Drummer Stevenson acknowledging the compliment. The conductor (Mr Rowles) aud Lieutenant Sinclair were also accorded well-deserved applause. Wo have reason to be proud of our Band’s triumph, and wo trust they will continue to hold the foremost place they have just won.
