The Union Steam Shipping Company received a cable message from London dated April 12, advising them that the Manapori had pat into Lisbon with her engines disabled, but repairs were being proceeded with, and she would be able to get away on the 25th inst., so that her arrival in Melbourne need not be looked for until about June 5. Libel. An important libel case, in which the Manager of a leading Mortgage Association and Member of the Legislature is plaintiff, and a well-known contractor is defendant, comes on for trial on Monday.
