THEATRE ROYAL.
Professor Weston entertained a very fair “down-stairs house” last night, with his excellent illusion, legerdemain, and sundry tricks. Mr Weston is an extremely clever and very amusing performer. We do not remember to have seen any conjuror whose personal “ style ” on the stage pleased us better. Everything he does is well done, and the audience enjoyed many a hearty laugh. The legiron and handcuff trick is something to be remembered. The performing dogs are wonderfully trained, and Punchinello is also intensely funny. Everybody ought to take his youngsters, and those who do not think it infra dig to laugh at conjuring, would enjoy an hour with the Professor. We wish him full houses, for he is really capital, and we are not surprised that the Duke of Edinburgh and the Governor of Victoria should have taken a great fancy to this entertainment.
