MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under ; Friday, April 7. For Northern Ports of New Zealand per Hero, at 6 a,m. Saturday, April 8. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Penguin, at 2.50 p.m. The Post-office will be closed on Friday, the 7th inst. (Good Friday.) Mails usually despatched on that day will close at 8 p.m, on Thursday, 6th inst. The Telegraph Office will be closed on Friday, the 7th, and Monday, the , 10th inst.
