Supreme Court Sentences,. t , Chbistchubch, April 4. The following sentences were passed by the Chief Justice at the Supreme Court this morning ; —William Hart, for criminal assault on a littlo girl at Kaiapoi, 8 years and 2' of 30 lashes each, with the cat; Charles James Emmett, for attempted tape, 3 years, and one whipping of 201 ashes. ’
