S. C. Times Office. Thursday Evening. Grain is now pouring into Titnarq from all quarters ; and. favored by excellent weather, the threshing machines are, hard at work in all parts. Most of the samples of wheat of ering are good, hot a few bad ones have been sold during the week at low rates. Threshing yields are lower,than farmers’ estimates, but this is nothing more than we anticipated after the. long spell of dry weather that preceded harvest. Farmers are not very anxious to sell at the prices ruling, bat we fail to see anything in the Home market quotations to Justify us in believing that prices for wheat will increase for at least several months to come. Oats still have an upward tendency and purchasers, or rather, would-be purchasers, are as thick as blackberries. Thid cereal will pay to hold if the top quotation is not secured. There is little barley offering, and. it Is generally of inferior quality. Quotations for the week are—Wheat, 4s to 4s 4d ; oats, 2a 9d to 3s; barley, 2s 9d to 3»6d,
