[Reuter’s Agency,] CricketMelbourne, March. 13. t Jones, the Sydney cricketer, will join the Australian team which proceeds to England. The cricket match between- the AllEngland Eleven and the Australian team was resumed to-day. The weather was fine during the day, but the attendance of spectators was only moderate. The Australians continued their first innings, and were all disposed of fora total of 300. The following are the remainder ‘of the Australian scores ;-rMcDonuell,' c and b, 63; Blackham, c, 6; Garrett, o, 10; Palmer, o and b, 34 ; Spofforth, not out, 3; extras 13. The Englishmen then commenced their second innings, and when the stumps were drawn for the day, had scored 234 for the loss of only two wickets. ■ The following are the scoresUlyett,' 64; Barlow, run out, 54; Selby, not out, 48; Bates, not out, 52.

The insurance include—on the building, £IOOO in the National of New Zealand, and £2OOO each in the New Zealand and the' Union of New Zealand. Arrived, this morning—The s.s. John. Elder, from Plymouth. Brisbane, March 13. ■ A serious fire occurred to-day at the office of the Brisbane ‘‘Telegraph", newspaper. The machine room wascompletely destroyed and the remainder of the building considerably damaged; Flood. Owing to recent heavy rains serious' floods have occurred in the Oalemont districts. The loss is estimated at £4000; Sydney, March 13. Arrived, this morning—the Union Company’s steamship Rotorua, from Auckland.
